Customers are able to complete the money transfer process online or in-store. To complete most international transfers, HSBC uses intermediary banks who may add a fee to the total amount or deduct from the amount reaching the recipient. They also offer foreign currency or global currency accounts to simplify international expenses.
To send money with HSBC, customer needs to open an account with the bank, then add their payee using their bank account details and IBAN number.
